Lorain Historical Society supports Small Business Saturday on Nov. 26 – Morning Journal

The Lorain Historical Society, 329 W. 10th St., is asking residents to join it from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Nov. 26, for Small Business Saturday, according to a news release.
Small Business Saturday is a national effort started in 2010, focused on getting shoppers to purchase from the small businesses in their communities.
“We will be offering another look at our holiday merchandise collections before we end our season Dec. 22,” according to the release. “This is your last chance to get the best deals on our holiday themed merchandise before it flies off the shelves.
“We will also be participating in the Downtown Cookie Crawl, so cookies will be available upon your visit to our gift shop and museum! Lorain County’s ‘Lolly the Trolley’ will provide transportation along the Cookie Crawl route, or you can use our facility to park.”
Don’t forget to stay bundled up and head downtown for Lorain’s Winterfest Celebration, the release said.
That same night, enjoy a parade down Broadway, the official tree lighting ceremony in Veterans Park and unique Christmas activities like walking through the international trees, trains and Christmas tree display in the Transportation Center at Black River Landing.
Santa Claus will be out with his reindeer at the Black River Landing.
“There are many great holiday themed things to be a part of, so head to downtown Lorain to check it all out and don’t forget to visit the Carnegie Center,” the release said.
