Kanye West Unleashes His Unabashed Antisemitism on the World

Yesterday, NBC news reported on Instagram restricting Kanye West’s Instagram account after he posed some antisemitic content, following an interview in which he invoked an antisemitic trope when speaking about Jared Kushner helping broker the Abraham Accords.
Instagram has restricted the account of rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, after he made a post that some groups are calling “anti-Jewish.”
According to a Meta spokesperson, Instagram deleted content from Ye’s Instagram page and placed a restriction on the account after the company said that the rapper violated its rules and guidelines.
Meta did not specify what content was specifically removed from the account and what content violated their rules, but the decision comes after Ye made a now-deleted-post Friday that one group is calling anti-Semitic.
In the post, Ye shared a screenshot of a text exchange he said he had with Sean “Diddy” Combs, with the caption “Jesus is Jew.”
The message from Ye appeared to show Ye claiming that Combs was controlled by Jewish people, a reference to a long-standing anti-Semitic conspiracy theory.
The post came after Ye appeared in a Fox News interview Thursday with Tucker Carlson and also echoed anti-Semitic conspiracy theories. In the interview, Ye accused Jared Kushner, who is Jewish, of brokering Israeli treaties for monetary gain.
Here’s part of West’s text exchange with Diddy.

I am pretty sure not just “some groups” would call this “anti-Jewish.” It is blatant. As is what he tweeted today:

For those who don’t know, the Defense readiness Condition (DEFCON) is an alert state used by the United States Armed Forces. It prescribes five graduated levels of readiness (or states of alert) for the U.S. military, increasing in severity from DEFCON 5 (least severe) to DEFCON 1 (most severe) to match varying military situations.

So I am guessing West is just suggesting he is ready take on the Jews, probably by mouthing off against us repeatedly. But who knows with this increasingly erratic individual.
By the way, this is not West’s first foray into antisemitism. Back in late 2013, while defending President Obama’s difficulty in passing his policies, he said in an interview on NYC radio station WWPR-FM that “Black people don’t have the same level of connections as Jewish people.” He was defended by rabid antisemite Louis Farrakhan, whose rhetoric he seems to be mirroring, especially when claiming Black people are Jews.
As I wrote at the time:
This is not the first time he’s made cringe-inducing comments, and not the first time he’s been insensitive to Jews.
Like that time he compared himself to Hitler.
“I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I’m (expletive) insane, like I’m Hitler,” he told the crowd, to modest boos. “One day the light will shine through and one day people will understand everything I ever did.” Just … like with Hitler? No, just not like with Hitler, okay.
Then there’s those lyrics of the song Child Rebel Soldier, the hip hop supergroup composed of West, Lupe Fiasco, and Pharrell Williams:
Diamonds blue, business manager’s Jewish
and if I get sued my lawyers JewsAnd these lyrics from his song Who Gon Stop Me:
This is something like the Holocaust, millions of our people lost
He also reportedly said this to Rolling Stone magazine back in 2004:
“I still look up to Jay like a father figure,” West says. “You know how Jewish families show their sons how to make money and keep the wealth going in the family? Jay’s like my Jewish father.”
West seems to be perpetuating the stereotype of the rich and powerful Jew.
Does that make him an antisemite? Not necessarily.
Does it make him an ignoramus and jack*ss?
Highly likely.
I have to now amend it. There is little doubt that Kanye West is a vile antisemite.
And with over 50 million followers on social media, his demented, antisemitic rants are more than a mere annoyance.
