Fragile and Failing States of Africa in 2018
In this video we profile four states in Africa which are fragile and failing in 2018: Congo DRC, Cameroun, Central African Republic, and Chad. What are the characteristic features of a fragile and failing African state?
–Weak central government, which is losing the practical capacity to control its territory
–Breakdown of public order
–Rise in criminality, corruption, and bribery
–Involuntary movement of people and refugees
–Worsening economic climate
In fact, the video shows how the countries highlighted are statistical examples of fragile and failing states.
