Call for a ‘rethink’ on number of years in school
Former speak of the house Bronwyn Bishop says there should be a “rethink” on the number of years people should be in school.
Ms Bishop said when she was in school the leaving certificate was five years.
“Then you cut out that extra year, it means you’ve got people going into the workforce … and it means I think that you could lessen the problem of this teacher shortage because you’ve cut out a whole year,” she told Sky news host Gary Hardgrave.
